Why is life so confusing?

Hello my wonderful friends. I sit before you today very confused about life and how it affects people differently. How can people be so vastly unique? If we step back and look at people from a macro point of view, you would assume they were all alike. Like a bunch of ants milling about on the face of the planet doing what they do best. You would see the varieties in different races but they would seemingly be the same. We see black ants and we see red ants, but to us they are just ants that do the same thing just in different locations.

Yet, at a larger view we may see only ants but if you focus in on one miniscule area you will see that each is person is so vastly different. No two are the same. No two have the same likes and dislike. No two have the same physical characteristics. No two have the same opinions on everything. While many will group off together and agree on a host of things, no two will be exactly the same.

I bring this to your attention because I have a friend who is suffering immensely in his day-to-day life. He is in a deep funk that seems inescapable. It seems as though the world is collapsing in around him. Whatever he touches turns not to gold but to coal. He has lost his way with the Lord. He has strayed from the path that has been set for him.

So today, I ask that you say a special prayer for him. I truly believe God is bringing him to his knees to be humbled before the Lord. Pray that he sees the Lord is in control. Pray that he sees God’s divine plan working in him. Pray that he doesn’t ignore this plan and try to go it alone. Pray that his friends will step up and be there for him. That they will encourage him in the way of the Lord.

I ask these prayers for my friend because I am concerned for him. I have never experienced anything like this so I am not sure on how to proceed with trying to help. My mindset is so different than my friends that I cannot understand all that he is going through. While from a distant we may look similar, up close we are two different people. Yet, we are friends that get along wonderfully. I ask prayers for me, that the Lord will lead me in the direction to help him out. That he can help me understand what he is going through. That he can put a clear plan in front of me to lead him back to the proper path.
