More Regulation…..just what we need

by LiberalEqualsCommunist

Wait a minute…let me check with my panel of experts (aka elected officials) to make sure that is ok to say.

I am not sure how many of you folks have been paying attention to the news lately.  I know it is hard to get away from TMZ or Access Hollywood.  I know that hearing Mel Gibson’s newly released tirade on tape is fun to listen to or the fact that Lindsay Lohan is going to jail is just to important to focus on anything else.  With all that excitement you may not have heard that our Congress just passed a bill, to be signed next week by our President, which creates more and more regulations on banks and other financial institutions.  We all know that more regulations lead to great business and wonderful free market ideas.

These regulations come on the heels of other wonderful growths in government control.  I won’t rehash them all because if anyone has been paying even the slightest inkling of attention you will know of what I speak.  As the private sector unemployment rate hovers around 10%, government numbers not actual, the government sector unemployment rate hovers around 4.4% and is sure to decline as the IRS is adding jobs because of the Healthcare bill.  QUICK TANGENT:  Why would you hire more people to the IRS for something to do with healthcare?  Somebody’s gotta enforce and regulate what you can and cannot do. Sorry, I am back on track now. How could it be that the government number is half or less than half of public sector unemployment? Speculate all you want but it comes down to the fact that our current leaders believe that the bigger the government is and the more control they have, the better our country will be. Kind of scary, huh.

Have you ever wondered how we got into this mess?  How could we have elected a President and a Congress that is so forcefully anti-capitalism and anti-freedom?  Think on it a minute. I am sure you want to know my answer to this tough question. It is because of our poor education system and the lack of parenting due to the rise of “government” assistance programs.  It’s a “pass the responsibility on to others” type of mentality and I am fed up with it.  I am tired of being the one that has to suffer for someone else’s idiocy and laziness.  I am tired of paying the price for parents who have kids but don’t manage them.  I am tired of my kids being punished because someone in their class can’t keep up.  I am tired of being held at gunpoint so that the money I worked for is sucked up and sent out to help for the “greater good”.  I am tired of the ignorance of some being passed off as gospel every time I turn on the TV.

As school fast approaches I am really feeling a need to blog about our public education system.  To many it will make you mad, to others it may open your eyes but to all it will inform.  Keep an eye out for that in coming informational sessions.

Until next time.

What to do?

Alright folks, I am in a dilemma.  I need your help and your opinions.  I really enjoy blogging and writing about the goings on in the political world.  However, to write a good detailed blog takes a lot of time that unfortunately I do not have.  I am in no way giving up on the blog I just need to know where to take it next.  Let me know what you think.  I can do more frequent blogs if I just post links and videos with minor commentary or I can post a more detailed blog which will be more infrequent.  Tell me what you think.  If you have other ideas let me know.  Post your comment below or click on “Contact Me” and send me an email.

Until next time.

Just finished my census….

Monday, March 29, 2010

I tell you what.  I don’t see what all the fuss is over filling out the newest Census.  I mean we have television ad after television ad explaining to us about where to get help filling it out and how it is so important that we fill it out.  After all, don’t we want to make sure that we get our “fair share” of money.  Even though the census has nothing to do with anybody’s “fair share” of anything.  Kudos to the first person who can tell me why we have the Census.

My Census took approximately five seconds to fill out.  I listed the number of people living in my household and that was it.  Nothing more and nothing less.  I encourage you to do the same.  That is all that you are required to fill out.  Let me know how you feel about it.  Comment below.

Oh, and here’s a quick commercial for the Census.  Notice they were sure not to offend the population of Asian-Americans by showing one of the Asian women driving.

Until next time.

HAPPY DEPENDENCE DAY!!!

Monday, March 22, 2010

WOW!!!  Can you feel the excitement in the air?  I know I can.  The day that individual responsibility took an additional shot on the chin.  Large chunks of Liberty and Freedom have been broken off and sent down the river.  Yes my friends, March 21, is now known as Dependence Day.

Go ahead and cancel your plans for the Fourth of July.   Trade in your shorts and short sleeve shirts for pants and coats because our parades are moving to a colder month.  The images of our founding fathers will be replaced with Obama, Pelosi and Reid.  I can’t wait to see their large headed likenesses racing around the field of a Washington Nationals game.  Go ahead wipe away the fifty stars off the flag, because we are now one large conglomeration of the same.  No more individuals because we are all the same with all the same needs and all the same problems.  No more do we need to try and care for ourselves because we are now taken care of.  Our Federal Government has shown us the teat and unfortunately to many of us have latched on.

The only thing I can tell you to do now is that if you are against it,  STAND UP AND FIGHT!!!!!  Call your Congress Men and Women.  Be sure to work diligently this year to help replace these people who are in support of the bill.  We are down but we are not out.  This is a fight that we can still win, it will just take everyone’s hard work and undivided attention.  This is what makes our nation great.  We have elections that we can use to replace the ones that go against our will.

Until next time.

I have gone mobile.

For all intensive purposes this is a test blog. I have recently acquired a new phone that has WordPress application so I can blog from anywhere. This opens my blog up to a myriad of possibilities.

Such as, I am sitting here watching the news rather than the Olympics since figure skating is on. Of course, when you watch any local news it nothing but one depressing story after another followed by one quirky, useless story. I wonder what the suicide rate of a news anchor is? It has to be high since they are stuck there, behind that desk, reading verbal depression for an hour straight. Then again, they usually don’t wear pants so it can’t be all that bad.

Plus, why do all the sports people look like they couldn’t tell the difference between a baseball and a tennis racquet. They are usually overweight geeks with a cheesy gimmick. BTW…am I the only one who is tired of hearing about Tiger Woods? He’s an idiot now drop it.

I won’t even get into the weather people, except Dagmar of course.

Until next time.

New Year, New Look, New Blog, Same ole Beliefs (Even worse tax system)

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

Finally, I have taken the time to write a new blog.  It has been about six months since I rambled on about my political beliefs and the state of our current political situation.  Of all the times to take a sabbatical, I chose the second half of Obama’s first year of being President.  Man the things that I have missed and could have ranted on.  However, for those of you that are my friends on Facebook, you know that I haven’t stopped trying to change the minds of people I know.  I have been in many back and forth debates with some friendly and some not so friendly people.  Two that stick out the most would be James Johnson and Jeff Geurin.  One of the hottest debated topics would be healthcare.  I have even had a friend or two remove me from their friend list.

A couple of days ago I put out a call to all my Facebook friends inquiring on what they would like for me to write about to kickoff my blog for 2010.  As you can imagine I received a ton of ideas via my status update as well as email.  I should have topics to last me for a few weeks.  One last thing before I get going on the main message of this blog, I have put out the call for guest writers.  I had guest writer and have a new one, whom usually has opposing views, lined up.  I would like to see more.  Many of you disagree with me and want a place to voice your opinion.  Here you go.  There are many more of you who agree with me but have a different idea of how to reach the same outcome.  Here you go.  All of you are invited, just send me an email, keith@lequalsc.com, and we can talk.

I was ready to start out this blog writing about the FairTax and had all of my points laid out when I ran across this story yesterday.  The headline reads “Obama Administration Steers Lucrative No-Bid Contract for Afghan Work to Dem Donor.” I laid out this challenge to my Facebook friends, “Will this story get the coverage of Bush and Halliburton?”  So far, this can only be found in one location, FoxNews.  You know that channel the left love to demonize.  As I sit here and write I can not imagine the reasons behind not covering a story that was so prevalent during the time Bush was President.

The time of open and honest government was supposed to arrive in Washington D.C. on January 20, 2009.  However, as each day goes by we know that is an obvious lie.  This is one of those situations.  The situation is $25 million will be given out to a company of a Democratic donor.  In this time of billion dollar bailouts and trillion dollar deficits, $25 million sounds like chump change. Let me think of a few ways I could use that money….

  • I could make a salary of $100,000 for 250 years or $1 million for 25 years.
  • I could send 208 kids to a $10,000 a year private school for all 12 years or 2,500 kids for one year.
  • I could pay for 480 people to attend Harvard for one year or 120 for four years.  That’s at $52,000 a year.  Imagine the amount of people who could go to a community college or a state university.

I wonder how much money they could have saved if they would have just bid out the job.

I am not going to beat a dead horse on why the other cable news channels as well as the network news channels won’t cover these types of stories.  It is been fairly obvious for a while now.  I just see it as another in a long line of lies and broken pledges.  Obama made the pledge of “no more no-bid contracts” in his speech to Congress on Feb. 24, 2009 but less than a year after that speech he has already gone the other direction.  I know his handlers and the other people of the left will try and say he “misspoke” or that he meant something different.  A common tactic of any politician and a reason we need to replace all of them.

Until next time.

Rep. Kathy Castor – I hope your proud Florida

Friday, August 7, 2009

One time some uber-famous individual screamed what is now one of the most famous quotes in American history, ha-ha.  She said…

“I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration.”    Hillary Clinton

I bet you wondering how I could quote something from Hillary Clinton.  It is extremely important right now.  This quote was made back when George W. Bush was president.  It was made when certain liberals falsely accused  people of calling them unpatriotic because they were against the President and his policies.

It’s amazing how times have changed.  You can do search after search on the town hall meetings that have been going on recently in regards to the Healthcare Reform Bill, aka Socialized Medicine.  The American people are rising up against this monstrosity and the same people who were complaining are now complaining that we are disagreeing with them.  They are comparing us to Nazi’s and say we are carrying swastikas.  Sounds like they have some wonderful compassion and they care to listen my dissenting view.

These wacked out Socialist Liberals complain about being called non-patriotic, without proof, and then compare you to Nazi’s when you disagree with them, with proof.  A little scary, huh.

I know there are people out there that disagree with me and want this healthcare bill passed and just love how we are slowly moving towards Socialism.  I think you are wrong but I respect your opinion.  However, if you have to agree that the level of hypocrisy and lies coming from these representatives is scary stuff.

Watch the videos below of the thugs forcibly removing constituents from Rep. Kathy Castor’s town hall meeting.  Ripping shirts and shoving people.  You get to see it from both sides of the door.  The last video is of a wonderful question that unfortunately wasn’t answered by the Representative because she couldn’t take the heat and had to leave.

These last two videos will not embed so here are the links:

If after watching these videos and you still do not agree, please leave a comment to why.  I am always open to a good debate.

Until next time.

Some wonderful video’s on Healthcare

Tuesday, July 21, 2009

Courtesy of Michelle Malkin:

The last one is the best because it comes straight from the horses mouth, aka known as Maryland Senator Ben Cardin.  Just listen to the end as Senator Cardin explains how it will be free and “You don’t pay. You are part of the population that shifts its costs over to a person who does pay, and they’re paying for you.”  If that isn’t scary I don’t know what is.  Here’s the link to the story and the video that goes along with it.

This is a short blog but to the point.  Be sure to call your Representative or Senator and tell them NO to this ridiculous healthcare reform, aka Socialized Medicine.

Until next time.

July 7 – What will you remember about this day?

Tuesday, July 7, 2009

There are many dates that we remember.  Some personal dates we remember as positive: your birthday, your anniversary, your kid’s birthday, family member’s birthdays.  Some personal dates we remember as negative:  a friend’s death, your grandparents passing, the loss of your parents.  There are also dates that will forever live in infamy:  The bombing of Pearl Harbor (Dec. 7), D-Day (June 6), Man walks on the moon (July 20), World Trade Center’s Collapsed (Sept. 11).

Certain dates have a way of taking us back to a time and place.  If we experienced it than most likely we can relive the moment over and over in our mind.  The mind is a very powerful tool.  However, most of us will never know how to use our minds to the best of their ability.  We will waste away this wonderful gift that good Lord has given us.  We will clutter it with junk rather than feed it with the knowledge that can help advance ourselves and our civilization.

This brings me to today.  What will you remember about July 7th?  Of all the years you have been alive and all the history classes you have struggled through.  What about July 7th will stick in your mind?

The one that comes to my mind is July 7, 2005.  The bombings in London in which forty-eight innocent people were killed.  Seven hundred injured.  A terrorist attack in the Underground Trains system in London.  A city that could be any major city in the U.S.  Regular people heading to work or heading to play.  Someone heading home to see family or meet the potential love of their life.  All of those hopes, dreams and aspirations wiped away by some maniacal Islamic radicals.

I understand that this happened thousands of miles away.  I realize that most of us were not directly affected by these bombings.  I can grasp the fact that it is easier for us to go about our daily lives and not remember the exact moment.  However, how many of you watched the Michael Jackson Memorial Service?  Do you know the day he died?

I will admit that the passing of Michael Jackson is fairly important concerning his status as a pop culture icon.  However, it is not worthy of twenty four/seven coverage on every channel.  It should not be a two week ordeal that enthralls the world.  While we sit here and oogle over our televisions and computers, men and women are dying to protect us and we do not bat an eye when (and if) we hear that one of them has been killed.  To top that off, they were killed fighting to keep us and others safe.  MJ overdosed on drugs trying to keep himself in some kind of right state.  Purely sacrificial versus Purely Self-Absorbent.

So as you remember this day and others that mark important life events.  Remember to keep your priorities straight.  Care more about the important things in your life, the things that matter.

One last thought before I go.  What if the world focused this much attention on Jesus and his word?

Until next time.

Where do we go from here?

Thursday, July 2, 2009

It has been a while since I have had the time to write.  I have truly missed it and hope to be able to get back to my regular blogging for the entire world to indulge upon.  Before I get to how messed up this world and our country currently is, I thought I would share with everyone the things going on in my life.

Thanks to the wonderful economic times, I lost my job at the end of March.  I was the last employee of the company that I worked for.  The two owners remained to carry on what little business they had.  At the time this was a scary new adventure in my life but quickly turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life.  I did get a job two months later at a company in Douglasville.  So I look at my short two months of unemployment as an extended vacation.  I now have a job ten minutes from home and in a much more relaxed and caring environment.  The Lord truly took care of and is taking care of me.

Enough about me though.  In the time that I have been secluded from my blog, the world and the U.S. seem to spiraling out of control.  Up is now down and left is now right.  Things are just not right.  We have countries killing innocent protestors, others launching missiles to act like they are tough, airplanes are crashing all over the place and Michael Jackson died.  My question to you would be, “Which of these three are most important?” and/or “Which one do you know most about?”  I bet most of you care more that Michael Jackson is dead rather than all of the people slaughtered in Iran for disagreeing with the government.  I bet you can name the hour you found out that Jackson was dead than name the country trying to provoke military actions by test firing missiles in a show of defiance and strength.

I know I have gone on and on about the so-called “American Idol” culture that is America today.  Give us a ten second sound bite with a nice little slogan and we are all happy.  How else can you explain a socialist being elected to the White House or the fact a no talent hack is elected to the Senate in the state of Minnesota.  It goes along with the old saying, “You get what you paid for.”  Well we are getting it now.

I know a lot of people are skeptical and think I spout all of these things out of hate or dislike.  I say to them, “You’re wrong!”  All of my beliefs are based on facts and what I know to be the best path for our country based on history and the original intention of the Constitution.  With that said, I get to one of the many ways that our newest President is a socialist hell-bent on destroying our country and making it into the next Socialist State.

Now is a time for you to be completely honest with yourself.  Do you know what has been happening in Iran as well as Honduras and how our government, specifically the President, has responded?  Have I lost your interest yet?  I hope not, because you really need to read this.  Let me break them down one country at a time.

IRAN

Iran recently had “open elections”, in which the current President Ahmadinejad won re-election.  Of course this was most likely not what really happened as it is almost certain that he did not win but tampered with the election for his gain.  Millions of people took to the street to protest.  The candidate running against him called for a recount.  Polls done around the country showed that the opposing candidate should have been the clear winner.  However, Ahmadinejad was declared the winner.  Iranian citizens kept protesting peacefully.  So what does the crooked dictator like leader of Iran do?  He has the police and military start killing protestors.  Innocent, pro-western, pro-democracy, peaceful protestors killed.

How does our President respond when it comes to freedom loving people being slaughtered?  First, he stays silent for days.  Then, after he breaks his silence he basically says it is not our business it is for them to hash out.  Which I can agree with slightly as we do not need to be providing any support with resources, but we should be condemning the acts of the country.  Finally, he never truly stands up for liberty and freedom in a country so desperate for it.

Honduras

Honduras also recently had some political changing of hands.  But like most good dictators, the current President of Honduras decided that he wanted to keep his power.  He decided he could bypass their Constitution and stay on as President, even after their Supreme Court and Attorney General said it was illegal.  Luckily, the other representatives of the country didn’t lie down on their backs and let this guy run over them.  They sent in the military and exiled the President to Costa Rica.  A new guy was sworn in until an election can be held.

One item to note is the ousted President was a socialist dictator in the making.  He has close ties to Chavez in Venezuela and Castro in Cuba.  Two well known socialist dictators.  As would be certain once the exile had taken place, these two leaders spoke out vehemently against the exile.  Also, one other person decided to speak up immediately in defense of the disposed dictator.  He didn’t wait days or weeks but jumped up instantly in hopes to return this man to power.  Could it have been Iran’s leader?  Maybe Putin of Russia?  While those are good guesses, you would be wrong.  It would be the one and only Barack Obama.  The President of the United States of America.  He immediately had a response for the country to re-instate the leader.  He immediately called the actions wrong.  He immediately wanted a socialist dictator to stay in power.

The Summary

Contrast the two event by how they were handled and who was the main beneficiary of the U.S. response and then tell me that our President isn’t a far-left Socialist wanting to tax us to no end and let the government control every aspect of our lives.

Remember, that liberty and freedom are rights not privileges.
